The donut with the rainbow sprinkles

Frosted donuts covered in rainbow sprinkles on a wooden board beside a cup of coffee.

I get to work with some of the most special people, and I love what I do. Recently a patient shared something with me that I have not stopped thinking about.

When she was little, her dad would take her to get donuts. The vanilla ones with rainbow sprinkles. It was their thing.

As she got older, that kind of treat stopped feeling good. Every time she ate gluten, wheat, or sugar, she paid for it. Her joints would ache the next day and her stomach would be upset.

What we worked on

We started NAET treatments in the clinic, working with her sensitivities to gluten, wheat, and sugar, among other things. Learn how NAET works.

The idea behind it is simple. When the body can handle what we eat and breathe and wear a little more smoothly, there is less for it to brace against.

The drive home

Her dad passed away not long ago, and she thinks about him often.

On her drive home from the clinic, after finishing her treatments, she stopped at the donut shop and found those same donuts with the rainbow sprinkles.

Here is what she told me. “I got in my car, I thanked the donut for its beautifulness, and enjoyed it. I thought about my dad. Normally from the sugar and gluten, I’d have a stomachache and my joints would hurt the next day, but this time, there was no inflammation, no pain. Everything was good!”

That is one person’s experience, and results vary. But moments like that are why I love this work.

If you would like more ease around food, I would be honored to help. See digestive health support.

With the greatest of love,
Darcie
